Private Insurance Verification and Authorization Clerk
Hammond based home health agency is seeking full time patient authorization clerk. Candidate should have experience and knowledge in the following areas:
Receiving and documenting incoming phone calls from referral sources.
Verify patient insurance benefits, co-pays & deductibles
Obtaining & tracking authorization for services from insurance carrier.
Strong telephone/customer service experience with ability to work with a divers team.
Excellent organizational skills.
Possess ability to communicate effectively, work well with other, handle stress, use good judgment, be creative and accept challenges.
Must have dependable transportation and be able to work Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:00.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
