Summary: Responsible for the direction of the clinical patient care within the hospital. Maintains performance improvement activities within the unit and participates in PI activities. Assures competency of all nursing personnel. Formulates a budget, evaluates department performance versus budget and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines. Develops and implements system of reviewing unit charges, ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Maintains efficient and effective unit operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
Requirements:
Current Louisiana Registered Nurse Licensure.
Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing preferred.
Three or more years of clinical experience, at least one of which must be providing rehabilitation nursing care.
A minimum of two years experience in management/administration.
Current BCLS certification.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
