Summary:
The HR Assistant will provide clerical support for the Human Resource department.
Other information:
Experience, Knowledge and Skill 1.
Previous Experience Required:
High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
Associates degree is preferred.
One year of experience with computer, phone and customer service required.
One year experience in Human Resources is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in business or a related field may be considered in lieu of experience.
2.
Specialized or Technical Education Required:
Computer skills are required and must include knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
3.
Manual or Physical Skill Required:
Must be able to lift boxes.
Excellent proofreading skills, customer service skills, and the ability to handle information with tact and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
1.
Act as the receptionist for Human Resources which includes assisting applicants and employees to the department and answering phones.
2.
Assist applicants and employees with Infor navigation and general questions.
3.
Assist HR Generalist with administering employee benefit plans and provide clerical support for the staff.
4.
Collect receipts and reconcile to the monthly credit card statement.
Submit the Human Resources credit card bill for payment.
5.
Order supplies and submit AYS requests as needed for the department.
6.
Distribute departmental mail.
7.
Act as an Accounts Payable Traffic Cop for benefit plan and garnishment invoices.
8.
Coordinate the Optional PTO Buyback program.
9.
Review/Finalize employee name changes in Infor.
10.
Assemble/order orientation materials for staff and provider orientation sessions.
11.
Coordinate the distribution of approved discount information to employees.
12.
Assist with annual enrollment and coordinate the Employee Benefits Fair.
13.
Assist with training new hires on Infor and with enrolling employees in benefit plans through the employee portal.
Attend and present at employee orientation when needed.
14.
Assist with Benefit Plan Document Review such as Summary Plan Descriptions and Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC).
15.
Assist HR Generalist with employee communications regarding incomplete life events in Infor.
Scan/Process incoming supporting documents for life events.
16.
Maintain records for benefit programs and file employee documents when needed.
17.
Scan and save compensation documents in One Note.
18.
Pro-rate premiums for terminated employees and assisting with payments in arrears.
19.
Complete verification of employment notices as it relates to benefit verifications.
20.
Create and print name badges.
21.
Assign and monitor completion of applicant and employee pre-boarding/onboarding tasks and policy acknowledgments.
22.
Adheres to North Oaks Health System's Legal Compliance Program and Federal and State Regulatory guidelines.
23.
Follow all Policy and Procedures.
24.
Upholds the mission, vision, values and standards of behavior.
25.
Responsible for insuring confidentiality of employee records and information.
26.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
