Responsibilities:
Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.
)Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirementsPrepare and process detailed financial statements for review with CFOPrepare budgets, variance reports, and forecasts in accordance with our established needsReconcile all accounts monthly, including Healthcare, Life, STD & LTD billsCollections of outstanding account receivablesExpense Account Management for reporting and approval by CFOOffice inventory control; reporting to CFO all equipment that is removed from inventoryManage journal entries, invoices etc.
and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closingParticipate in preparation for the annual auditReview the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalancesUtilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain recordsQualifications/Requirements:
Proven experience as accounting assistant or other similar positionSolid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulationsGeneral Understanding of data analysis and forecastingWorking knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and QuickBooksBS in Accounting (3 years business experience in lieu of degree)Desired Characteristics:
You are a skilled communicator, able to influence and build consensus, have proven experience partnering with staff across all levels of an organization, and can effectively translate complex financial information for program and development staff.
You are highly collaborative, detail oriented, able to balance many competing priorities and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
