This will be 3 days a week in HAmmond (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday) and 2 days a week in New Orleans.
Creates, maintains and terminates the sterile field for operative procedures.
Provides the surgeon with instruments and products necessary to perform the surgical procedure.
Essential Functions Assists in the preparation of the patient room for surgical procedures.
Is able to be on time Is well prepared and anticipates the surgeon's needs.
Maintains effective, efficient, current, and appropriate clinical skills.
Efficiently identifies and readies appropriate surgical supplies and instruments for surgical procedures.
Must be willing to learn and be a self starter.
Must remain productive throughout the day.
Is able to be cross-trained to handle front desk if needed.
Must be able to take constructive critisim Team Player Is able to multi-task among the office.
Has good telephone etiquette.
Performs initial and final instrument and surgical supply counts in accordance with policy.
Strictly abides by all sterile technique procedures in accordance with policy.
Follows all universal precautions.
Provides a smooth transition for all patient treatment Safely and effectively dismantles sterile field and confines contaminated materials.
Removes and decontaminates instruments in accordance with policy.
Assists in the rapid and thorough surgical room turnover.
Performs all X-Ray technology the office has to offer patients.
Respects and maintains confidentiality.
Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.
Is efficient in all aspects of EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
Additional Information Other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Dental Background required.
1-2 year prior experience with Letter of Recommendation.
Must have effective communication skills.
Must be able to multitask Must have the proper licensing, certifications and vaccinations.
Letter of recommendation and all licenses, certifications and vaccination required at interview.
Pay scale $13-$17/hr (depending on confirmed experience.
Negotiable for applicants with certified EDDA training.
