3K a year 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago Assistant Director of Human Resources, Hammond, LA Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is seeking to hire a full-time Assistant Director of Human Resources to join out multi-generational, family-owned business that has provided security guard and electronic security services to the region for over 40 years.
We employ approximately 1,300 individuals from Texas to Florida and have plans for continued expansion in the coming years.
We are seeking personnel that will work to sustain and fine-tune our current HR effort and prepare us for future growth.
Roles and Responsibilities Assist the HR director in the daily administration of HR services as directed or assigned, including recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization.
o Develop, prepare, generate and analyze reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc.
Effectively utilize the data processing system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
o This position will supervise two or more employees.
o Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
The Assistant Director will oversee or assist with the following functions:
Compensation updates.
Job descriptions Corporate handbooks on policies and procedures.
Benefit administration Safety programs and initiatives.
Worker's Compensation.
OSHA regulations Training and licensing Legal Compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
Internal and external audits Recruitment Skills Required Business Acumen.
Communication.
Consultation.
Critical Evaluation.
Global, Cultural and Social Awareness.
HR Expertise.
Leadership & Navigation.
Relationship Management.
Ethical Practice.
Supervisory Responsibility Required:
Two (2) years of experience in human resources.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification.
This position assists the Director by providing oversight of the department and its various functions.
This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
