Position: Non-Exempt - Schedule varied as needed/Day, Night, Weekends, Holidays
Job Purpose:
Perform the job function of Blow Mold Operator and Maintenance for the Blow Mold Department when machinery maintenance is required. Run the blow mold operation in a safe and efficient manner with a high level of sanitation as required by the State Dept. of Agriculture Inspectors. To perform required maintenance, maintain and troubleshoot equipment in blow mold and all associated equipment to insure maximum efficiency with minimum downtime. Search for ways to improve efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities:
Start up and operate blow molding machines and associated equipment.
Understand and operate the conveyor system.
Keep plant and all equipment maintained to insure optimal production and quality.
Weigh bottles every hour to ensure they meet specifications.
Maintain records of what and when changes were made to the equipment.
Change volume control plugs as needed.
Visually inspect all equipment daily for proper operation.
Schedule all necessary preventive maintenance for equipment.
Troubleshoot any unscheduled process equipment issues.
Train blow mold room personnel on proper use of equipment.
Monitor all blow mold production and associate scheduling.
Keep waste and loss at minimum.
Perform all work in a safe manner to protect employees and equipment, following all safety guidelines.
Schedule needed downtime around production schedule when possible.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or superintendent.
Secondary Job Functions:
Keep floors swept and free of debris.
Keep bottles properly rotated.
See that the room is kept in a sanitary condition.
Coordinate breaks and lunches of blow mold room personnel.
Experience, Skills and/or Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
- Able to comprehend technical data sheets.
- Must have a minimum of one year blow mold operating experience. Uniloy Blow Mold experience preferred.
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug test, physical and background check.
- Must have proof of U.S. Citizenship or have a valid work visa.
Education and Work Experience Required:
- Bottles run to proper specs set by Management.
- Requires basic math skills to calculate production and inventory.
- Operate machinery such as blow mold machines, trimmers, conveyor for bottles, annealing units for bottles, regrinder and resin delivery system, bagging and debagging machines.
Technical Aptitude:
Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, replace parts as needed.
Repetitive Action:
Both hands to feed bottles. One foot to work pedals on baggers and debaggers.
Working Conditions:
Environment involved is mostly inside (Blow Mold room and bottle storage warehouses and conveyors into bottle filling room.)
